Dr. E.J. Burgess, Psy.D., Clinic Director, is a native of Warrenton, NC. After graduating from Campbell University, he completed a Master’s degree in clinical psychology at Middle Tennessee State University. He subsequently returned to Wright State University where he obtained his doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a primary focus in Neuropsychology. He completed his residency at the Allegheny Neuropsychiatric Institute/Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and then a fellowship in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology at the University Of Virginia/Medical Center, where he was appointed to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department.
Dr. Burgess is board certified in Neuropsychology. He is active in his community where he has coached soccer for the past 11 years and is a captain of his local tennis team. He has published and presented at regional and national conferences on neurocognitive evaluations and predicting premorbid functions following head injury. Dr. Burgess provides a full service practice offering evaluative, treatment and forensic services for cognitively impaired patients in addition to clinical psychology.
